The Buffalo Bills are set to host the Baltimore Ravens in the first edition of Sunday Night Football for the 2025 NFL season. After a whole offseason of waiting, the Ravens finally have their rematch against the team that eliminated them from the playoffs in January. And, for Buffalo, tonight is the first step towards giving Highmark Stadium the send-off it deserves.
The matchup is full of stars, as the Bills boast the 2024 NFL MVP in quarterback Josh Allen, and the Ravens have not only the 2023 MVP in quarterback Lamar Jackson, but also the 2020 Offensive Player of the Year in running back Derrick Henry. Of course, the Bills landed 2016 Rookie of the Year Joey Bosa on defense, and they also have a slew of emerging young stars waiting to write their own name on a big game.
Every AFC East team lost earlier today, so the Bills could find themselves in great position if they earn the victory tonight. The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers both won today, so the Ravens could keep pace with them by avenging their 2024 Divisional Round loss with a win in Orchard Park, NY.
Your first-half open thread is here, friends. Remember to treat each other civilly tonight. If you want that classic game-thread feel, remember to toggle the comments to “oldest.” And, as always, make sure that you enjoy the game regardless of where it is that you’re watching.
Go Bills!
