Buffalo Rumblings
To say it’s been a difficult first season for Buffalo Bills edge rusher Landon Jackson is an understatement. Jackson, who was selected during Round 3 (72nd overall) in the 2025 NFL Draft by One Bills Drive, began his rookie season a healthy scratch through most of the team’s first eight games due to his status on the depth chart. He made spot appearances in two games, then finally found his opportunity in Week 10 against the Miami Dolphins.
That opportunity lasted all of two plays, at which point Jackson fell to his back on the ground and clutching his knee in obvious pain. Jackson was helped off the field thereafter and ruled out for the remainder of Buffalo’s loss to Miami.
Now, a report shared by NFL insider Jordan Schultz on Monday afternoon informs through sources that Jackson has torn his MCL and PCL. Schultz noted that One Bills Drive is “still evaluating a timeline, but a full recovery is expected.”
A few hours after Schultz’s report, Bills head coach Sean McDermott spoke to team beat reporters, stating that “they don’t have a timeline…, but that he is definitely out this week,” per ESPN Bills reporter Alaina Getzenberg.
When Buffalo selected Jackson this past April, the pick was touted as the most team-obvious fit in the entire draft class. It’s clear the Bills liked Jackson, who visited with One Bills Drive multiple times leading up to draft day. Now, he’ll look to recover and start anew, still searching for his next opportunity to line up on Buffalo’s defensive line.
