Hairston’s non-contract injury is likely to sideline him for a while.

It appears that Buffalo Bills rookie cornerback Maxwell Hairston has avoided serious injury, after initial outside observations feared the worst following a non-contact ailment on Tuesday, July 29. Hairston himself took to social media in the evening hours to give a general thanks to higher powers.

On Wednesday, July 30, Jordan Schultz shared a report claiming that Hairston’s injury was “believed to be a sprain, and he’s considered week-to-week.”

Soon after, Ian Rapoport tweeted that Hairston had tests, which “revealed his ACL to be intact,” and that “(i)t’s an LCL sprain and Hairston could be back in as few as three weeks.

This is indeed positive news for Max Hairston, the Buffalo Bills, and all of Bills Mafia. The Bills have endured a rash of injuries to begin training camp this summer, with several perceived starting wide receivers, tight ends, and linebackers hitting the sidelines for extended stays.
