Buffalo Rumblings
The Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Elijah Moore on Wednesday, November 26. Moore’s release comes just a day after One Bills Drive signed veteran free-agent wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the 53-man active roster. Initially thought of as a potential dark horse to produce decent results in Buffalo, Moore’s potential just failed to materialize.
In nine games (2 starts) with the Bills in 2025, Moore caught just nine passes (17 targets) for 112 yards. He was also utilized as a runner behind the line of scrimmage, where he gained 24 yards and one touchdown on six carries, all per Pro Football Reference.
While Moore didn’t live up to the hype cast his way and much of that is due to his efforts alone, there is room to critique the way offensive coordinator involved him in the passing game, and the offensive playbook in general. With Moore not a part of the current equation, that leaves the Bills wide receivers room shapes up as follows:
Still just 25 years old, Moore could find his way back to Buffalo’s practice squad if another team doesn’t claim and/or sign him. The Bills do still have room to add one additional player to the active roster, with 52 players accounted for as of publishing.
