The Buffalo Bills survived the Jacksonville Jaguars, but they lost Gabe Davis.
Buffalo beat Jacksonville 27-24 on Sunday, moving to the Divisional Round. While most of the injury discussion was around Josh Allen, a different position group lost a key player.
Wide receiver Gabe Davis was knocked out of the game after taking a hard hit to his leg on an incomplete pass. Unable to put weight on it, he was helped off the field, then had to be carted to the locker room. While the team did not announce a full prognosis for the veteran wide receiver, they got a potentially dire sign on Davis after the game.
ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg reported after the game that Davis was seen on crutches. “Bills WR Gabe Davis left the locker room on crutches. A brace on his left leg,” Getzenberg shared in a post on X.
That was just the start of the bad news.
Gabe Davis will undergo an MRI on Monday to diagnose the nature and severity of his injury, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported.
He further added that the Bills had difficulty providing an initial diagnosis. That was due to the amount of swelling in his left knee. The Bills appear likely to be without wide receiver Gabe Davis for the rest of the playoffs.

That is a huge blow for the team. The Bills’ depleted wide receiver corps will likely be led by Khalil Shakir, Brandin Cooks, and Keon Coleman for the rest of the postseason.
This news comes on the heels of Bills wide receiver Josh Palmer not being available for Sunday.
Gabe Davis returned to the Bills this year. He appeared in six games with five starts for the Bills, making 12 receptions for 129 yards and a touchdown. Last year was also marred by a knee injury that occurred while he was playing for the Jaguars.
