The Buffalo Bills just lost a game they could ill-afford to drop against the downtrodden Miami Dolphins in Week 10. It was an uninspired effort all around where a 16-0 halftime hole proved too much for quarterback Josh Allen and the offense to dig out of before the run defense wilted in the haze of South Beach. The Bills came into this past Sunday’s game as huge road favorites, only to lose 30-13.
The massive setback probably has Bills Mafia and NFL fans curious to find out how Vegas sees things shaping up ahead of Week 11. It turns out that Vegas still believes in Buffalo. FanDuel Sportsbook opening odds have the Bills as 5.5-point (-5.5) home favorites over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with an over/under set at O/U 50.5.
That means bettors see a fairly high-scoring affair on Sunday in Highmark Stadium. The Buccaneers are also coming off a loss in Week 10, having dropped a 28-23 decision to the New England Patriots. Buffalo and Tampa Bay met earlier this summer to close out preseason action, so there’s a modicum of familiarity between this season’s rosters. However, that scrimmage should not be viewed having given an advantage for either side, especially when there’s already nine games of film for both teams.
The Bills’ injury reports will be of utmost importance this week, given the number of players who have fallen to various injuries each week. The situation has ravaged Buffalo’s defense, where defensive backs continue hitting the sideline with soft-tissue injuries, and defensive tackles are lost for the season with significant ailments.
Now, Buffalo’s likely to be without its top receiving target in tight end Dalton Kincaid, who is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury suffered in action against Miami. Kincaid’s status could further impact the odds for Week 11 as game day draws closer.
