The Phinsider
Going into last week and following Thursday Night Football’s ugly outcome, the Miami Dolphins fan base was screaming for some sort of change. Since that game, the team has traded away pass rusher Jaelan Phillips and “mutually parted ways” with general manager Chris Grier. At least through this week’s game, head coach Mike McDaniel has managed to hold onto his job and, according to reports, will do so through the end of this season, barring some sort of further collapse, although I fail to understand what that could even possibly be at this point.
While the Dolphins suffered a fairly predictable loss to the Baltimore Ravens last week, today’s opponent, the Buffalo Bills, were coming off a two-game win streak. Buffalo hosted the AFC reigning champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, last week. Buffalo managed to pull out the win, 28-21, over Patrick Mahomes and company. The Bills’ defense held Mahomes in check, handing him a woeful 57.2 QB rating while Josh Allen ended the game with a stellar 123.2 rating. Our Dolphins will need to summon the energy they displayed against the Atlanta Falcons two weeks ago if they hope to avoid an even worse fate than the Chiefs faced last week.
