Buffalo Bills at Jacksonville Jaguars: first half game chat
Buffalo Rumblings Buffalo Rumblings

The Buffalo Bills and the Jacksonville Jaguars are set to do battle this afternoon in what should be a tough Wild Card Playoff contest. The Jaguars won the AFC South division this season with a 13-4 record. Buffalo, meanwhile, was the runner-up in the AFC East with a 12-5 record.

The Bills are on the road to begin a playoff campaign for the first time since the 2019 season. In that game, which was quarterback Josh Allen’s first career playoff start, the Bills faced off against the Houston Texans, winners of the AFC South that season. Buffalo raced out to a 16-0 lead before eventually losing in overtime, dropping a heartbreaking 22-19 decision.

Jacksonville boasts the NFL’s top run defense this season. They have not allowed an individual running back to gain more than 74 rushing yards in a contest. James Cook III, who was named Second-Team All-Pro, led the NFL in rushing yards. He gained at least 74 rushing yards in a game twelve times this season. Even with so much of the focus on quarterbacks Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence, the battle between Buffalo’s rushing attack and Jacksonville’s run defense very well could determine the game’s outcome.
