As we all know, the Buffalo Bills’ wide receiver room is still a work in progress. After a busy offseason that saw Buffalo add Joshua Palmer and Elijah Moore, the front office might not be done yet.

Of course, injuries happen, players underperform, and the Super Bowl window doesn’t stay open forever. That’s why some believe the Bills should make another aggressive move before it’s too late.

Could Romeo Doubs Be Headed To Buffalo Bills?

Marcus Mosher of FanSided thinks the Bills should make a call to Green Bay and ask about wideout Romeo Doubs. The 25-year-old has quietly racked up 1,700 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns over 43 games. He’s not flashy, but he’s reliable, especially in contested catch situations and the red zone.

“Doubs isn’t the most athletic receiver, but he does a great job of winning jump balls and in the red zone,” Mosher wrote. “If the Bills just want to rent a receiver for a half-season if Coleman or Josh Palmer struggle, Doubs could be a viable target, and it wouldn’t break the bank to acquire him.”

That’s the kind of thinking Buffalo fans can get behind. This is a team that traded for Amari Cooper last season, knowing full well it could be a one-year deal. Why not do it again?

In fact, Palmer is locked into a roster spot because of his $29 million deal. Moore, however, is on a one-year flyer and fighting for a job. If he doesn’t show enough in camp, the Bills can move on without much hesitation. That opens the door for a trade like this one.

Doubs sits buried behind Jayden Reed, Dontayvion Wicks, and rookie Matthew Golden in Green Bay. He could thrive in Buffalo, catching passes from Josh Allen instead of fighting for scraps with Jordan Love.

The Bills are chasing a ring. That’s the goal. Always has been.

If Doubs hits the market at the right price, Buffalo shouldn’t wait. A third-round pick for a proven receiver? That’s a win-now move they can’t pass up, especially with a championship window open.

October’s trade deadline might get loud in Buffalo, depending on how the current receiver group performs early on.
