Bucs Nation
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers just can’t seem to escape the injury bug in 2025. The latest to come down with injury is quarterback Baker Mayfield.
Mayfield scrambled for a first down in the first half of Sunday night’s game against the Rams where he was sandwiched between two defenders and another landing on him when he went down. He would eventually go into the medical tent on the sideline holding his left arm, and later to return to action.
However, as the Bucs quarterback tried to launch a pass deep down the field in the closing seconds of the first half, Mayfield’s throw didn’t have much on it and he immediately went down in pain. He ultimately walked off the field, but the team later announced his return was ‘doubtful’ as he was being evaluated for a let shoulder injury.
Veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater entered the game in the third quarter.
We may not know much more on Mayfield following this late matchup, but it is certainly something to monitor throughout this week.
