Dak Prescott is the best player on the Dallas Cowboys.
This feels pretty non-controversial to say right now, even understanding the volatility that has often come with discussing and debating Prescott. The Cowboys are 1-2-1 at the moment, and by many metrics have the best offense in the league. It goes without saying that there are a lot of factors that go into something like this, but we can (I assume) come to the general consensus that Prescott is the rising tide lifting all boats these days.
Who is the next-biggest tide, though? If we do agree that Dak is the best player on the team in October of 2025 then who would you say is number two?
Let’s specify that we are talking about the players who are going to take the field on Sunday against the New York Jets so that discounts CeeDee Lamb (and others). I think a very strong argument exists for George Pickens, but I am inclined to lean in Tyler Smith’s direction. Brandon Aubrey could certainly be the winner here, too.
