Fans attending the Denver Broncos-New England Patriots game on Sunday will want to dress extra warm.
The Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots at Empower Field at Mile High on Sunday, with the winner representing the AFC in Super Bowl 60. The Broncos will start Jarrett Stidham, with starting quarterback Bo Nix suffering a season-ending ankle injury in their Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills.
According to AccuWeather, the forecast for Sunday’s game calls for -4 in the afternoon, with a RealFeel of -10. There’s a 78 percent chance of precipitation with 24 km/h wind gusts.
Greg Perez of KDVR notes that this could be the fourth-coldest home game in Denver Broncos history. Bottom line: Fans attending Sunday’s game should wear extra layers of clothing.

Then again, the forecast called for snow in the Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers Wild Card Round game two weeks ago. And of course, there was no snow to be seen during the game.
The Broncos and Patriots had an intense four-year rivalry from 2012 to 2015, thanks to the Peyton Manning-Tom Brady storyline. They met in the 2013 and 2015 AFC Championship Games, with Denver winning both games.
Their rivalry ended when Manning retired after the 2015 season. Sean Payton and Mike Vrabel rescued their teams from years of mediocrity. Now they reignite a fierce rivalry with the AFC Championship on the line.
Whoever wins between Denver and New England will face the victor of the Los Angeles Rams-Seattle Seahawks NFC Championship Game in Super Bowl 60.
