Browns vs. Steelers: Week 17 Need to Know
Dawgs By Nature Dawgs By Nature

The Cleveland Browns host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday in the final home game of the season.

The Browns have won the past three meetings, and five of the past six overall, in Cleveland against the Steelers. But this matchup pits two teams heading in opposite directions as the Browns are fighting for the No. 1 overall selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, while the Steelers are eyeing the playoffs.

That could have a bearing on the game as the Steelers may have the AFC North Division title wrapped up before they take the field if the Baltimore Ravens lose on Saturday night. In that scenario, Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin said earlier this week he would consider resting some of his starters, so this could be a game the Browns will have to work harder to lose.

Otherwise, there is not much else to look forward to other than seeing if Cleveland defensive end Myles Garrett can notch one more sack to set an NFL record. And if quarterback Shedeur Sanders, he of the minus-0.24 EPA/dropback, can continue to “make it difficult” for the Browns to pass on a quarterback in the draft.

It’s the Browns vs. the Steelers in Week 17, and here is everything to know about the game.
