The Cleveland Browns will welcome the red-hot Green Bay Packers to Ohio for a Week 3 matchup between the 0-2 hosts and the 2-0 visitors. Two of the best pass rushers in the game, Myles Garrett and Micah Parsons, could make things very difficult for the opposing offenses, but injuries could end up playing a big role as well.
To start the week, the Browns were ranked very low in NFL power rankings and were serious home underdogs to the Packers. The home team can do a few things to win on Sunday, but not many are expecting the upset to take place.
We always have reasons for hope and optimism, however.
The first injury report of the week is out for Cleveland versus Green Bay, with three starters not practicing:
Carter was concussed to start the game, leaving WR Isaiah Bond to return punts, while Bitonio’s back injury is new. Hall has been ramping up to play and should make his debut this week if all goes well.
A lot of big names on the list, with Reed headed for injured reserve after having surgery already on both issues. Tom missed Week 2’s matchup, as did Banks. Both returning to practice is an indication that they will be able to return. Melton, once a prized college running back who has transitioned to cornerback, also missed Week 2 but practiced on Wednesday as well.
