As Thomas Moore titled this morning’s Daily Dawg Chow, for the Cleveland Browns and most of their fans, it is Shedeur Sanders’ world right now and we are just living in it. Could Friday night’s debut (you can see analysis of all of his throws and decisions here) be the first step toward Sanders becoming the fifth-round version of Tom Brady? Browns fans can only hope.
Cleveland fans have also been let down too many times to get their hopes too far up and the Browns would probably be right in playing everything slow and cautious with Sanders early this season.
After one joint practice with the Carolina Panthers prior to the first preseason game, the team will once again travel from Berea to have practices, this time against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. The Browns will have two practices matched up against the reigning best in the league. Depending on the health of Kenny Pickett’s and Dillon Gabriel’s hamstrings, Sanders could get a big test in practice this week.
