The Cleveland Browns have plenty of new talent on this year’s roster. Players have been signed to other teams, while some just weren’t invited back. GM Andrew Berry did a great job bringing in capable bodies and getting rid of the athletes who weren’t getting the job done.
And after losing 26 games in the past two seasons, a lot of changes and alterations had to be accomplished.

Berry’s drafted players from 2025 yielded quite a few new guys who have not only stuck on the roster, but have become starters who have produced. The hope is that the 2026 draft class can do the same.
Don’t look now, but the Browns have one of the youngest rosters in the league. Currently, Cleveland has the NFL’s fourth-youngest team.
The reason?
It can’t be because of free agency. These guys are usually players who have completed their rookie contract after three-or-four-year stints, and the club that drafted them no longer wants their services. Or does not desire to pay out for a huge second contract.
The reason is because of the past four drafts. Berry has whiffed on quite a few players in his first three drafts, but has learned from his mistakes and made much better choices.
Currently, three players are just 21 years old, and 11 are 22 years old. Another 27 roster members are either 23 or 24. There are only five players who are 30+, with the new fullback, Michael Burton, being s the senior member of the roster at age 35.
This is a very young ballclub. Some may point to the fact that it makes this squad inexperienced and prone to mistakes. Which is true. Sometimes. The New England Patriots went from 4-13-0 to 13-4-0 in one year, and they are the NFL’s youngest team. So, there goes that statement stating youth cannot win games.
Young talent is always an important aspect for several reasons. Not only are some players instant starters, but the developmental stage is imperative for every roster, especially for depth. A male is at his athletic peak at age 26. And teams want to remain in that range.
Let’s examine the past four drafts and examine how many drafted players remain on the current roster:
