The Cleveland Browns have been officially eliminated from playoff contention (despite being able to tie for the AFC North lead), and all eyes turn toward the future. QB Shedeur Sanders opened some of those eyes with his huge performance in Week 14, despite the loss, and, along with rookie TE Harold Fannin Jr., is up for AFC Rookie of the Week.

The next few games could cause a ripple effect heading into the Browns 2026 offseason, as seen here in our recent 2026 NFL mock draft. The next three games will be a step up in difficulty for Sanders and the Cleveland offense, made more difficult by injuries that are setting up a look at the future.

On Tuesday, the Browns made six moves on their roster with at least two more to come:

  • Placed OL Ethan Pocic, RB Jerome Ford (shoulder) on injured reserve
  • Released DE Ochaun Mathis and LB Mark Robinson from the practice squad
  • Signed OL Darrian Dalcourt and DT Keith Cooper Jr. to the practice squad

As noted in the team’s press release, Dalcourt, a center, was undrafted in 2024 and played on three different practice squads, while Cooper was undrafted this year and spent time with the Detroit Lions.

Neither has seen an NFL snap.

The Browns moves on Tuesday leave two spots available on the 53-man roster. One could be filled by QB Deshaun Watson if he returns from injured reserve.
