Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders has broken his silence on the news that he was recently issued a pair of speeding tickets.
On Wednesday, news broke that Shedeur Sanders was pulled over by a cop on Interstate 71 and issued a speeding ticket just before 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday. The 23-year-old was clocked at 101 MPH in a zone with a speed limit of 60 MPH.
Then on Thursday, it was reported that Sanders was also issued a ticket on June 5 for speeding in Medina, Ohio. Sanders was driving at 91 MPH in a place with a 65 MPH speed limit, leading to $249 in fines and court costs.
Speaking at teammate David Njoku’s celebrity softball game in Eastlake, Ohio, Sanders briefly addressed the pair of speeding tickets, acknowledging that they’re incidents he’ll learn from.
“I’ve made some wrong choices, I can own up to it,I learn from them,” Sanders said in a video that has quickly gone viral:

In the state of Ohio, a person will have their license suspended for six months if they record 12 driving penalty points. Shedeur Sanders is now at six, so it would be wise for him to be more careful behind the wheel, especially for the safety of himself and the others on the road.
Sanders was drafted in the fifth round (144th overall) by the Browns in April. His draft fall was among the most stunning in recent memory, as Sanders was widely expected to be a top-10 draft pick.
Shedeur Sanders is now in a four-way battle for Cleveland’s starting quarterback job with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, veteran Joe Flacco and offseason trade pickup Kenny Pickett.
