Browns roster needs work but the Senior Bowl provided us some interesting prospects for the upcoming NFL draft

The Cleveland Browns are navigating the final stages of solidifying the coaching staff while trying to get a jump on the scouting process. Cleveland has sent the biggest contingent to date of the Andrew Berry era to the Senior Bowl to scout players in the upcoming draft.

The Browns have had an inside look magnified by having a heavy presence on the coaching staff. After evaluating the week in Mobile, their are five players who really stand out as realistic draft picks to improve the team.

If the Browns could add two or three of these players, then Cleveland could transform their outlook on next year.

TE Mason Taylor

Taylor is the son of former defensive end Hall-of-Famer Jason Taylor. He has tremendous size and his ability as a pass catcher will continue to gain steam throughout the draft cycle. His blocking skills could allow him to be the true number two behind David Njoku moving forward.

Projected Draft Selection: 3rd - 94th Overall

OT Aireontae Ersery

As we profiled, Ersery is a true offensive tackle in a class filled with players who could be better guards at the next level. He has ideal size and his performance this week should bolster his draft status.

Projected Draft Selection: 3rd - 67th Overall

QB Jaxson Dart

Dart continues to climb draft boards as the scouting community catches up to the tape from this past season. In a weak quarterback class, Dart continues to check the boxes for above-average in many categories. His play style may be a fit for Kevin Stefanski and the offense he envisions.

Projected Draft Selection: 2nd - 33rd Overall

CB Azareye’h Thomas

Thomas may be the best fit in the entire draft for Jim Schwartz’s defense. He is an extremely talented man coverage corner on the outside who excels in press. His confidence while the ball is in the air makes him stand out in this class.

Projected Draft Selection: 2nd - 33rd Overall

WR Jaylin Noel

Noel would be the perfect offseason addition to the Browns receiving room. He could thrive as an upgrade to Elijah Moore in the slot but also be able to play snaps outside as well. He is a tremendous route runner and possesses the juice to make winning plays over the middle. It’s easy to watch him and get real Steve Smith vibes. The Browns will also be attracted to him from a character and football IQ standpoint.

Projected Draft Selection: 3rd - 94th Overall
