Cleveland selects Colorado’s Travis Hunter in the first round and then fills the QB position on Day 2.
The Cleveland Browns have numerous roster holes still left to fill a little more than a week out from the 2025 NFL Draft.
Fortunately, the club also has almost as many draft picks to fill those needs.
As of today, general manager Andrew Berry will head into the draft with 10 selections, including the No. 2 overall selection, three picks on Day 2, and a whopping six picks on Day 3.
Berry is unlikely to use every one of those picks on a player, as 10 rookies are a lot to add to a team in a single offseason. However, fans should expect some trades to materialize, especially on the final day of the draft.
But that is next week’s topic, so for today, let’s assume Berry will utilize every pick to flex his full draft muscle.
This brings us to The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, who released his full seven-round mock draft this morning, focusing on “team needs, draft needs, and fits for all 32 organizations.”
So let’s dive in and see how Brugler went about fixing what currently ails the Browns, including his comments on the first pick.
The Browns are desperate to get the quarterback position right, although I don’t expect them to force the pick. With the best player in the draft still available, it makes sense that the choice here would be Hunter, who could provide a spark on offense (and defense).
