The Giants assistant has some experience with Kevin Stefanski.

The Cleveland Browns promoted Tommy Rees as their offensive coordinator this past week, and he had his introductory press conference, where it was also announced who will call plays for the Browns in 2025. They have been working on patching up the rest of their offensive coaching staff, and next up on the agenda could be filling the quarterbacks coach job:

According to Tom Pelissero, the Browns interviewed Christian Jones for the job today. Last season, he was an assistant quarterbacks coach for the New York Giants, having spent three seasons with the organization in total. Three years before that, from 2019 to 2021, he was an offensive quality control coach and an assistant wide receivers coach with the Minnesota Vikings. That 2019 season would line up with when Kevin Stefanski was still on the staff, which gives you a connection between the two (and also, a certain Kirk Cousins was the team’s quarterback at the time...).

The Giants’ website credits Jones with “being instrumental in the development of Tommy DeVito” and the success he had as a rookie.
