Browns injury report: Vet rests, 1 DNP, multiple limited; Bengals completely healthy

The Cleveland Browns started their Week 1 practice with one player not participating, a few limited and a vet getting a rest day coming off a day off on Tuesday. The Cincinnati Bengals, on the other hand, started their week of practice completely healthy with no one on their injury report.

Every week of every year, it seems like the Browns are dealing with more injuries than their opponents in the first report before mostly being able to play by game time. Whether that is due to stricter reporting from Cleveland than others, players reporting more injuries, some kind of mind games or a generally less healthy team is up for speculation.

At Wednesday’s practice, not a single Bengals player was limited:

Browns Injury Report

  • DT Mike Hall Jr. – Knee – DNP
  • OL Joel Bitonio – Rest – Limited

Hall was able to pass his physical in advance of cutdown day, but has not practiced since. Given the lack of practice during training camp, it is unlikely Hall is ready to play this week, even if he joins practice, and Week 2 is also up in the air.

We will keep you up to date on injuries as the week goes on including Friday’s final injury report with gameday designations.
