Just when you think things can’t get worse for the Cleveland Browns in 2025, injuries continue to create concerns. Before last week’s game, OL Jack Conklin was also placed on injured reserve. Then, RB Quinshon Judkins had a season-ending injury during the Week 16 game, and the Browns Week 17 injury report has been full all week.

Cleveland is a big underdog going into Week 17 versus the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the visitors may not have anything to play for on the shore of Lake Erie.

For Browns fans who have celebrated the team’s 2025 NFL draft class received another worrisome alert from Adam Schefter the day after Christmas, with TE Harold Fannin Jr. being injured in practice:

Fannin wasn’t the only rookie to have a new injury, as QB Dillon Gabriel was listed with a left shoulder injury that popped up in practice on Friday.

Fannin told the media that he expects to play on Sunday:

Unofficially, as the injury report is not due for a little bit, Cleveland is listing Fannin and Gabriel as questionable while also ruling out TE David Njoku for the third week in a row:

It is possible that Njoku has played his last game ever at home in the brown and orange and, potentially, his last game ever for the team that drafted him in 2017.

Given the new injuries on Friday, Fannin and Gabriel’s status could be updated on Saturday when the team makes decisions on practice squad elevations.
