As the Cleveland Browns defense had their team with a lead in the first half versus the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 18, everyone is focused on what the future might hold around the NFL. With HC Kevin Stefanski likely coaching his last game for the Browns, there have been rumors of everyone from Mike Tomlin, John Harbaugh, Zac Taylor, Matt LaFleur, and a number of other big-name coaches potentially moving on to other teams this offseason.

Stefanski has been linked to the New York Giants, with many expecting he will be at the top of the list for many teams this offseason. While Week 18 was in progress, Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio linked Stefanski to the Green Bay Packers, noting that the president there, Ed Policy, grew up a Browns fan and hasn’t committed to LaFleur:

A loss could prompt Policy to explore his options. And Stefanski, who spent all of his career in the NFC North with the Vikings before getting the Cleveland job in 2020, could end up being the guy when the dust settles on what could be the first Green Bay coaching search since 2019.

An unofficial trade of Stefanski for LaFleur might be something both fanbases embrace at this point, but LaFleur will have a lot of options this offseason as well.
