Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski had nothing nice to say about Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin’s recent comments.
Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin did not hold back his feelings about the Cleveland Browns recent trade in which they dealt quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals.
“To be honest, it was shocking to me,” Tomlin said Monday at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex. “Andrew Berry must be a lot smarter than me or us. Because it doesn’t make sense to me to trade a quarterback that you think enough of to make your opening day starter to a division opponent that’s hurting in that area. But that’s just my personal feelings.”
It didn’t take long for Tomlin’s words to reach Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski, but he didn’t feel the need to elaborate on the manner.
“I don’t have a comment on that,” Stefanski said via Zac Jackson of The Athletic.

It could be that Stefanski doesn’t care what Tomlin has to say or he could be taking the approach of if you have nothing nice to say, don’t say anything at all.
Either way, it’s safe to assume the Browns are hoping Flacco and the Bengals get some revenge for the Browns, who fell to the Steelers 23-9 in Week 6.
It was an odd move by Cleveland to help its AFC North rival upgrade at the league’s most important position, and Cincinnati already seemed to start reaping the benefits of the trade on Sunday.
Despite the Bengals still losing to the Green Bay Packers, Flacco clearly provided better play at quarterback than backup Jake Browning, passing for 219 yards and two touchdowns.
Now, Pittsburgh has to face Flacco on a short week and Tomlin expects him to be even more comfortable in Cincinnati’s offense with one game under his belt.
A first-round pick by the Baltimore Ravens in 2008, Flacco has thrown for 46,512 yards, 259 touchdowns and 168 interceptions in his professional career.
