Dawgs By Nature
In many ways, much has already been decided for the Cleveland Browns going into training camp for the 2026 NFL season. With DE Myles Garrett with the Los Angeles Rams and CB Denzel Ward wanting to stick around, there are not many lingering questions around the team.
Oh, except who will start at quarterback and how many games?
Quarterback is always a big discussion point for teams that do not have someone set in stone. Even the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are facing questions about the future of QB Baker Mayfield going forward. We have fans in DBN’s Feed talking about how the QB position will play out, we have a poll about how opinions have changed, and the potential of drafting QB Brendan Sorsby in the Supplemental Draft, which is currently not possible.
The QB position rules over them all in the NFL, for better or worse, which makes it no surprise that it was the primary conversation ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler had with ESPN Cleveland. Included in the discussion is reporting from Fowler that the Browns are happy with their two potential starting quarterbacks, that 90% of the evaluation still needs to be had, Shedeur Sanders has developed, and Deshaun Watson is looking like an athlete:
Fowler also discussed Dillon Gabriel’s future, including in a West Coast system: ‘he’s going to play a long time in the league.‘ He also noted the Sorsby news from Monday, with the Texas Tech garnering a second-round pick if he is in the Supplemental Draft.
What jumped out to you about what Fowler said above?
