While many may try to crack jokes about the State of Ohio and Cleveland in particular, there is no doubt that being born and raised in Northern Ohio brings with it the greatest fandom possible. No other fanbase has had to endure what the Cleveland Browns one has. It has hardened our resolve, created communities where there wasn’t one, led to heartbreak and pain, given many an identity to fall back on and, often, leads to a connection with strangers all over the world.
It is the passion and dedication of Browns fans that led to Dawgs By Nature debuting in 2006. DBN continues to be a community for many to share their opinion, excitement, disappointment, GIFs (a lot of those) and their general love for Cleveland and its football team.
For those who have been around DBN for a while, welcome back. Every day, welcome back. We hope the new format of the site has had all the bugs worked out for you by now, and you are finding it better than ever before. Please be welcoming to our new folks in the comment sections and “The Feed.”
For those of you who are relatively new to DBN, welcome. Chris Pokorny founded this site and continues to pour his heart into it while giving the rest of us a chance to find our place within this Browns kingdom. Our “Daily Dawg Chow” has become a community within a community, led by EZ Weav, and is a great place to go every morning when you wake up. There are, for sure, some inside jokes and a lot of engagement going on there.
For everyone, we hope you get a chance to check out “The Feed” and we hope you find DBN’s coverage of our Cleveland Browns to have something for you every day, multiple times a day (we average between 7 and 10 articles a day, depending on the time of year).
We want to encourage you to click “Sign up” in the top right of the site to make an account so you can join the comments and “The Feed” and – importantly! – see fewer ads if you are logged in. We want to encourage people to sign up for an account because that allows them to comment and post, which makes our sites more fun and engaging.
Let’s just say we are “calling all lurkers” to make their first comment. Try it out this week! The comments are usually fun.
No matter how you engage with DBN, thank you. Thank you for making Browns fandom a part of your days and for letting DBN be a part of that process. While many of you are Dawgs By Nurture, we are all Dawgs By Nature.
