The Cleveland Browns may have acquired a lot of new offensive linemen this offseason, and we feel pretty good about who the starting offensive tackles will be, as well as Zion Johnson being at left guard. But what about center and right guard?
Our Reacts poll this week included several options for who might start at center and right guard. We know that OL Elgton Jenkins is supposed to take one of those spots, but depending on which spot he’s in, who goes in the other spot?
The top projection — with 50% of the vote — sees Elgton Jenkins at center, with last year’s part-time starter Teven Jenkins at right guard.
Not too far behind, at 35%, sees rookie Parker Brailsford at center, and Elgton Jenkins at right guard.
One of the players with the least expectations to start seems to be KT Leveston.
One dark horse scenario that we didn’t consider much yet could also see Tytus Howard, who is the starter at right tackle, moving inside to guard with Dawand Jones starting at right tackle. That combination might give the Browns the starting five with the highest potential, but it’s also a lot of moving pieces to try make happen, especially with Jones’ injury history.
The Browns are still heavy underdogs to make the postseason, at 70/1 compared to the other teams, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
