The Cleveland Browns made a move on Tuesday to bring a preseason favorite back to the roster.

Luke Floriea, an undrafted free agent wide receiver out of Kent State, has been signed to the practice squad.

The 5-foot-10 and 168-pound Floriea spent five seasons in total with the Golden Flashes, playing in 48 games. He finished his collegiate career with 100 receptions for 1,321 yards, 12 touchdowns, and averaged 13.2 yards per catch. He earned All-MAC Third Team honors in his senior season.

In his final season at Kent, he set highs in receptions (44), yards (699), and touchdowns (7) while posting three 100-yard receiving games.

Floriea caught everyone’s attention during training camp and had snagged a high pass from quarterback Shedeur Sanders for 30 yards in the preseason opener against the Carolina Panthers. He also returned two punts and a kickoff in the game.

Unfortunately for Floriea, he injured a hamstring on his lone reception, and the Browns released him three days later with an injury designation.

To make room for Floriea on the practice squad, the Browns released defensive end K.J. Henry.

Originally a fifth-round selection by the Washington Commanders in the 2023 NFL Draft, Henry has played in 14 games while spending time with the Commanders, Cincinnati Bengals, and Dallas Cowboys.

In addition to Floriea, Cleveland’s practice squad includes:

  • Cornerbacks Tre Avery and Dom Jones
  • Defensive ends Sam Kamara and Julian Okwara
  • Guard Garrett Dellinger
  • Linebacker Edefuan Ulofoshio
  • Quarterback Bailey Zappe
  • Running back Ahmani Marshall
  • Safety Christopher Edmonds
  • Offensive tackles Joshua Miles and Tyre Phillips
  • Tight end Sal Cannella
  • Wide receivers Malachi Corley, Kaden Davis, and Gage Larvadain
