Dawgs By Nature
After a whirlwind of moves last week, the Cleveland Browns have made just a couple to start Week 16’s preparation for hosting the Buffalo Bills. At this point in the season, with the Browns nowhere near playoff contention for the last few weeks, the roster moves are less impactful and more transactional due to injuries and roster needs.
Last week, Cleveland took a risk in waiving WR Jamari Thrash on Saturday to add OL Garrett Dellinger to the active roster. On Monday, the Browns undid that move by signing Thrash and waiving Dellinger, but the team’s third-highest graded player in Week 15 was claimed by the Tennessee Titans.
On Wednesday morning, Cleveland signed OL Wesley French to their practice squad to fill the spot vacated when Dellinger signed to the active roster.
French (6-4, 307) is officially in his fourth NFL season out of Western Michigan. Originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2022, French has appeared in 17 career games. He has spent time this season on the Cowboys’ practice squad.
With the Browns returning to the practice field on Wednesday, we will be monitoring which of the seven players ruled out last week return. Cleveland also has a looming decision with QB Deshaun Watson.
