Joel Bitonio, come on down.
In early January, it was announced that three members of the Cleveland Browns had been named Pro Bowlers: WR Jerry Jeudy, DE Myles Garrett, and CB Denzel Ward. Now, they’ll have some company in the form of a familiar face.
On Monday, the day after Championship weekend, it was announced that LG Joel Bitonio has been named a Pro Bowler for the seventh consecutive season. How did the spot come open? Because OG Joe Thuney of the Kansas City Chiefs made the Super Bowl, so he won’t participate in the Pro Bowl games this year.
With the Pro Bowl honor, Bitonio jumped into sole possession of fourth place on the Browns’ all-time list of Pro Bowl appearances. Ahead of him are OT Joe Thomas (10 appearances), RB Jim Brown (9), and OT Lou Groza (9).
We’ll have more details in the coming days on this year’s Pro Bowl games and which activities the Browns players will be participating in.
