Browns: 2026 draft picks after recent flurry of trades

Cleveland Browns general manager Andrew Berry has been a busy man over the past 10 days as he works to reshape the team’s roster.

First up was a trade with the Houston Texans for left tackle Cam Robinson, who played seven snaps in Sunday’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings but should be in line for more after a full week of practice.

On Tuesday came the “surprise” trade of quarterback Joe Flacco to the Cincinnati Bengals after Flacco lost his starting job to rookie Dillon Gabriel after four weeks of play that saw too many turnovers and not enough big plays.

Then, late Wednesday night, the news broke that the Browns were sending starting cornerback Greg Newsome to the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for cornerback Tyson Campbell.

Those moves continued a trend that began with the completely unsurprising trade of quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Las Vegas Raiders at the end of the preseason, a transaction that was always going to happen but was helped along by Pickett missing most of training camp and the preseason with a hamstring injury.

In addition to bringing in Robinson and Campbell, while subtracting Flacco and Newsome, there were draft picks involved to help Berry build on this year’s promising rookie class during the 2026 NFL Draft.

As of this morning, the Browns hold 10 selections in next spring’s draft:

  • Their own selections in Rounds 1 through 5, with that first-round pick currently projecting to be a high one.
  • A first-round pick courtesy of the trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars on draft night.
  • A fifth-round pick from the Raiders as part of the Pickett trade.
  • A fifth-round pick from the Bengals as part of the Flacco trade.
  • A seventh-round pick from the Jaguars as part of the Newsome trade.
  • A seventh-round pick from the Seattle Seahawks as part of the 2024 trade for center Nick Harris.

The NFL trade deadline is November 4, which falls during Cleveland’s bye week. With the Browns currently at 1-4, if the season continues to slip away, Berry may not be done dealing and adding draft picks to continue rebuilding the roster.
