Browns 2025 QB options: Pick your poison between 3 vets with Achilles injury history

Kirk Cousins is all of sudden available, Deshaun Watson is rehabbing and Aaron Rodgers could become available

What the Cleveland Browns do at the quarterback position will either be the most interesting part of the offseason or the simplest, most upsetting part of it. Browns fans have tuned out and have been turned off by the team this season, not just because of the losing, so the idea of just running everything back at the most important positions could implode all fan support.

There have been reports that Cleveland is planning on bringing in veteran competition at quarterback with QB Deshaun Watson. Finding a quarterback able to captain a team with a playoff-caliber roster (at least everyone agreed as much prior to the season) that is available, agreeable to come in to compete and that the Browns can afford under the salary cap seems like an unlikely dream.

Now, with Kirk Cousins being benched by the Atlanta Falcons and uncertainty around Aaron Rodgers' future with the New York Jets, Cleveland could have a chance of deciding between three veteran quarterbacks who have had major Achilles injuries the last two seasons. Cousins and Rodgers will likely be cheap options if they are cut free making them at least realistic for the Browns.
