Pittsburgh Steelers All-Pro free safety Minkah Fitzpatrick’s brother, Justice, has committed to the University of Georgia. Justice is a four-star cornerback out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Georgia head coach Kirby Smart coached Minkah Fitzpatrick at Alabama, and that factor played a key role in Justice committing to the Bulldogs.

“Coach Smart coached my brother at Alabama, so we know him really well,” Fitzpatrick told On3’s Chad Simmons. “I know him well, my family knows him well and we have a great relationship. I have gotten to know the coaches at Georgia well, I have worked with them at camp and I feel like Georgia checks off most of my boxes.”

Justice Fitzpatrick had a slew of offer outside of Georgia — Alabama, Texas, USC, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, and others Division 1 programs all were after him.

In 2024, Justice totaled 34 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions as a junior for a St. Thomas Aquinas program that won a Florida 5A championship. He earned MaxPreps Junior All-American honors for his standout season.

Below is a scouting report of Justice Fitzpatrick by Andrew Ivins of 247 Sports.

“Outside corner with first-class bloodlines that meets key height/weight/speed thresholds. Earned varsity reps as a freshman at one of the Sunshine State’s most storied prep programs and will head to college with no shortage of reps under his belt, although he has dealt with a variety of different injuries over the years. More of a linear athlete, but has the eyes and awareness to digest route concepts and put himself in position to make plays. Quick to gain depth with his footwork and can maintain phase without having to grab a ton of cloth. Spatial awareness makes him an effective zone defender as he passes off assignments and swiftly identifies others. Can find a top gear once turned and race down the sidelines, but could hit the pedal a little sooner. Not afraid to play through hands at the catch point and will finds ways to avoid flags. Has proven to be a willing participant most in run support at times, but more urgency to make a stop would go a long way. Should be viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level that could thrive in a quarters-heavy system given how he reads and reacts. Advanced feel for the game might have him on the field sooner rather than later.”

Minkah Fitzpatrick is entering his eighth season in the NFL, seventh with the Steelers. He is a five-time Pro Bowler and has been named first-team All-Pro three times.

Fitzpatrick had just one interception since tying for the NFL lead with six picks in 2022.

What will it take for him to get back to his ball-hawking ways? Fitzpatrick’s solution is simple.

“I just gotta play football,” Fitzpatrick said during the Steelers’ OTAs. “That’s it.”
