According to 9NEWS Denver’s Mike Klis, the Denver Broncos are elevating linebacker Levelle Bailey and fullback Adam Prentice from the practice squad to their game day roster for tomorrow’s game vs. the Tennessee Titans.

Teams are allowed to elevate two players from their practice squad to the game-day roster each week. They can do this a maximum of three times for each player before having to sign them to their active roster if they want to use them again. This will be the first elevation for Bailey and Prentice.

With linebacker Dre Greenlaw still dealing with a quad injury and ruled out for Sunday’s game vs. the Titans, the team is elevating linebacker Levelle Bailey. He was a surprise cut by the Broncos, but he re-signed to their practice squad and will now be active for the season opener against the Titans. Look for Alex Singleton and Justin Strnad to be your starters, with undrafted rookie Karene Reid and Levelle Bailey serving as depth and playing on special teams.

As for Prentice, he will be the Broncos’ starting fullback on Sunday. Veteran Michael Burton was placed on the season-ending injured reserve due to a hamstring injury, and now, Prentice figures to take over his role on the offense. With the team looking to run the ball more effectively, Prentice will have a key role as a lead blocker for J.K. Dobbins and R.J. Harvey during tomorrow’s game vs. the Titans.

Both of these players figure to have key roles on the team during tomorrow’s game and could find themselves on the 53-man roster sooner rather than later.
