The final injury report has been released for the Denver Broncos road game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. Overall, a great outcome for Denver. Everyone they hoped to get back to full this week is there, especially Evan Engram. They need more out of the tight end position this week and head coach Sean Payton even noted that he’ll be one of those matchups they’ll want to exploit.
“I think we always look at touches,” Payton said of Engram. “When you put plays in, there’s a primary. There are some ways where you know you can get him a touch, or you think you can. I can’t off the top of my [head]… He’s going to be one of those matchups that we want to take advantage of.”
As much as I want to see the run game dominate, the Colts do have some weaknesses to exploit on defense. Starting cornerback Charvarius Ward and his backup Jaylon Jones have been ruled out for this game. That could open some matchup problems in the passing game. Engram is a guy who could put stress in some areas to open things up, so getting him back was crucial.
