The Denver Broncos are fresh off a pretty sloppy game on offense and a complete absence of defense between the 20s. Things don’t get any easier in Week 3 as they will be on the road to face their AFC West rival Los Angeles Chargers who are fresh off a dominating road win over the Las Vegas Raiders last night.
According to FanDuel, the Broncos are 2.5-point road underdogs against the Chargers in Week 3. The over/under stands at 45.5 for this matchup.

The spread surprised me a bit. I expected a bit more of a move in favor of the Chargers due to how well they have been playing to start the season compared to the Broncos. However, division rivals tend to know each other quite well and tend to play each other in close contests. The Chargers won both matchups by a touchdown in each last year, so they seem to have Denver figured out some.
It feels like the Chargers might be peaking in 2025 and the Kansas City Chiefs are on the downtrend a bit. That leaves the Broncos in a situation where they too are on the rise, but still a year away from true contention status. Even so, if they bring their A-game, they can hang with the Chargers in any game. The only question is whether or not they bring that next week.
