The New England Patriots kicked off Week 11 of the 2025 campaign with a comfortable 27-14 victory over the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football. With that win, the Pats took control of the No. 1 seed heading into the weekend, and it appeared as if they had a good shot of holding onto that spot heading into Week 12.

New England has found itself in a battle with the Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos for the top spot in the conference. While the Pats played the lowly Jets in Week 11, though, the Colts had their bye week, while the Broncos welcomed the intimidating Kansas City Chiefs to town.

It seemed like there was a decent shot that Denver’s ongoing win streak would get disrupted by a Kansas City team that desperately needed a win. Instead, the Broncos pulled off a last-second 22-19 victory, helping them earn their eighth-straight win, which is tied with the Patriots for the longest active win streak in the league.

During the Patrick Mahomes era, the Chiefs have run the AFC West division, but now that they have a 5-5 record, it appears there will be a change of guard. The Broncos boast a 9-2 record just like the Patriots, with their strength of schedule giving them a tiebreaker for the No. 1 seed currently.

While New England has impressed folks with its win streak as of late, Denver has been just as good over the past two months. And with Indianapolis set to return from its bye week in Week 12, this race appears to be heating up in the second half of the season.

The Patriots have done a great job of focusing on going 1-0 each week, and they will look to do that again next weekend. New England will square off against the Cincinnati Bengals next, with kickoff for that game being scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Sunday afternoon.
