Mile High Report
In case you missed it, the Denver Broncos are now 10-2, sitting atop the AFC. While no fan would complain about Denver’s record, plenty would have something to say about how each of these games taken years off of our lives do to the emotional toll the stress of these games have taken. These wins haven’t been the dominant, kick your ass up and down the block kind of wins, but rather a slow grind that has rewarded Broncos country with a 9-game win streak.
There have been other teams that haven’t been easy on a Broncos fan’s heart. In 2011, Tim Tebow propelled the Broncos to an 8-8 season and a playoff win with his legendary late game heroics. In 2015, Peyton Manning’s Broncos seemed to have the ball bounce their way often enough for Von Miller and the No Fly Zone to snag the Lombardi trophy.
Sure, we would all love every game to be against the Dallas Cowboys where the Broncos won, 44-24. Heck, fans would even take the 28-3 win that the Broncos put on the Bengals. However, those scores are anomalies in the Broncos 2025 season. 8 of the Broncos 10 wins have been by one score or less with 6 of those victories by a field goal or less.
Instead of lamenting who these Denver Broncos are with all their close victories, take a moment to enjoy these Broncos. Detractors will say that Denver has been lucky; that they don’t deserve their top seed in the AFC. I say poppycock! POPPYCOCK! The Denver Broncos are good enough to create their own luck and that’s why balls are bouncing their way.
The Broncos have 5 games to go in the regular season to prove that they belong as the top seed in the AFC. Win big, win small, win by a little or a lot, it doesn’t matter, this 2025 team has found a way to win every step of the way. It may be tough on your heart or cost you a little sleep at night, but these Broncos are worthy like the historic teams that came before them. So, buckle up Broncos Country, the ride will be bumpy, but it will be rewarding.
