According to Nick Kosmider of The Athletic, the Denver Broncos have waived inside linebacker Jordan Turner. He was among several undrafted free agents Denver added at the inside linebacker position and the competition this summer has been fierce there.

Coming out of Michigan State, he totaled 66 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, 3 sacks and two interceptions. He and Levelle Bailey both looked like they should have been strong candidates to make the final 53-man roster. Our own Chris Hart was surprised that Turner didn’t hear his name called on draft day, so it shouldn’t be a surprise he nearly made the roster.

Look for Turner to be a guy the Broncos quickly add to their practice squad if he clears waivers tomorrow.
