After 11 weeks of the NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs have their backs against the wall after a 22-19 loss to the division-leading Denver Broncos on Sunday afternoon. While the loss didn’t mathematically eliminate Kansas City’s chance to win a 10th-consecutive AFC West title, it removes almost all of its margin for error.
Tied 6-6 at halftime, 13-13 at the end of the third quarter and 19-19 with four minutes left, this game was defined by penalties and mistakes by both teams. In the end, it was a 35-yard field goal by Denver’s Will Lutz that won the game.
