Broncos Country says current defense ‘not as good’ as 2015

Broncos Country has spoken, and in an outcome after my own heart, Broncos Country loves the current team defense but nothing can be better than the squad that broke Cam Newton, defeated the Patriots in the AFC Championship and was hands-down the reason the team even made it to Super Bowl 50, let alone walked away with the Lombardi.

No doubt the 2025 version is predicted to pick up where it left off last season and continue wreaking havoc in the league.

Projecting them to be one of the best in the NFL this season, several sports analysts have ranked them No. 1 heading into the season, led by the strong pass rush led by Nik Bonitto, stealthy inside linebackers with the return of Alex Singleton and the addition of Dre Greenlaw, and of course stellar coverage in the secondary thanks to DPOY Pat Surtain II and the additions of Talanoa Hufanga and rookie first-round draft pick Jahdae Barron.

And I think I speak for the rest of Broncos Country (again) when I say that no one would be mad if this group can live up to a goal Singleton voiced back in June:

“It’s one of those things where it’s like, ‘Let’s be better than the 2015 defense. ‘ Stuff where like that’s what we need to chase,” Singleton said in an interview with DNVR. “You have to chase it when we start practice. … We have to be the best every single day to get where we want to go.”
