The news surrounding Micah Parsons this offseason has been a wild ride ever since he demanded a trade from the Dallas Cowboys.

This type of news had led many people to get fooled by reports surrounding him and where he might want to go. There have also been rumors that one NFC powerhouse has a massive trade offer on the table for Parsons.

Over the weekend, the Denver Broncos and Arizona Cardinals participated in another preseason matchup.

The Broncos had 562 total yards of offense in a dominating 27-7 preseason win over the Cardinals in Denver. That became a footnote to what happened in the third quarter.

While the Broncos were up by double digits, the broadcast discussed Micah Parsons and where he might be traded.

Social media posts with fake quotes, reports, or altered images can occasionally trip up just about anyone, and that is exactly what happened here.

Earlier in the week, a user on X (formerly Twitter) posted “quoting” Micah Parsons, saying Denver was his ideal destination, which he did not publicly state.

Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos broadcast did not look into verifying the quote before making a graphic and airing it during Saturday’s preseason game against the Arizona Cardinals.

Insane: The Broncos' broadcasting team got FOOLED by a FAKE Micah Parsons quote that went viral on X/Twitter where he stated he wants to be traded to the Broncos.

A little fact-checking sometimes goes a long way.

GMs Do Not Believe Cowboys Have Made Micah Parsons Available

Micah Parsons wants out, but that does not mean the Cowboys will listen to him or anybody else.

Considering Parsons’ status as Dallas’ top player and one of the league’s best overall talents, no deal ever seemed realistic. Reports have also surfaced as to what the Dallas Cowboys are looking for in return for their superstar.

According to Yahoo’s Charles Robinson, GMs have not gotten the sense Parsons is available.

After four years in Dallas, Parsons is looking for a new contract, but Jerry Jones isn’t sending one his way.

In the end, he might get his deal right before Week One.
