Can the tall wide receiver hang on with the crowded Bronco WR room.
A.T. was a 6th round pick of the Saints in 2023 out of Wake Forest. The tall thin (6’5”, 205 lbs) WR finished his college career with 171 catches for 2662 yards and 28 TDs. As a rookie for the Saints he appeared ten games, starting three, making twelve catches for 246 yards. Ten of those catches went for first downs and four of those were TDs. He showed enough potential (20.5 yards per catch) two get signed by the Broncos practice squad in 2024. The Broncos signed him to a futures contract at the start of this year. Perry ran a 4.47s 40 at the NFL combine and had a 35.0” vertical.
So far Perry is the only veteran who was able to participate in mini-camp. This does not bode well for his chances in the crowded WR room. The Broncos currently have twelve WRs on the 90-man roster and five of those are locks to make the 53-man roster.
