Despite the loss to the Cincinnati bengals, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a tremendous showing from their offense in Week 7. Aaron Rodgers threw four touchdowns and the offense put up 31 points. However, it didn’t come without a viral incident.
After throwing a touchdown, Rodgers and Broderick Jones were celebrating when Jones tackled Rodgers to the ground. Rodgers was clearly irritated when he got up, shoving Jones away.
Pittsburgh’s left tackle was asked about this on Monday, to which he laughed it off.
“We’re still joking about it,” Jones said. “He was a little mad, but it’s alright… he told me don’t lose the fire, and I told him the same… If he throws another touchdown, I might tackle him again.”
While everyone would certainly prefer if Jones doesn’t tackle the 41-year old again, it’s good to hear that it was largely just a spur-of-the-moment outburst.
The Steelers will host Rodgers’ former team, the Green Bay Packers, on Sunday night at Acrisure Stadium.
