Videos surfaced of Brock Purdy and Deommodore Lenoir giving presents to the offensive line and defensive back room respectively.
We are five days away from Christmas, but a couple of San Francisco 49ers are already playing Santa Claus and are in the giving mood.
Quarterback Brock Purdy, who signed a deal before the start of the 2023 season to appear in Toyota’s regional advertising, gifted the offensive line room ten vehicles. In the video below, Purdy said there were five Sequoia’s and five Tundra’s to go around:
The smiles on their faces should bring anybody joy. That’s cool to see and a great gesture from Purdy.
Some comments about how Purdy could afford nearly a dozen vehicles on his rookie contract were confused.
Well, being sponsored by Toyota certainly helps. Assuming his contract is the only way is an uninformed way to approach this subject. A quick Google search will tell you Purdy has endorsement deals with Alaska Air, Toyota, and Buffalo Wild Wings. I will go out on a limb and say Purdy makes half his base salary ($985,000) on each of those endorsement deals.
Purdy gave his teammates a new vehicle without asking for anything in return. That’s all that matters.
Cornerback Deommodore Lenoir gave everyone in the defensive back room a travel-sized duffle bag that appeared to be Gucci.
It might not seem like much, but it’s cool to see these types of videos in the building a week after a teammate left the field.
