Patrick Mahomes’ wife Brittany Mahomes’, never one to shy away from being outspoken, took to Instagram to rub some salt in the wounds of Buffalo Bills fans following the Kansas City Chiefs’ latest postseason triumph over the team. Mahomes also seemed to suggest that karma played a role in the result of the game.
In their win over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs put up 32 points, which was the first time they’ve scored more than 30 points in a game since Week 12 of the 2023 season.
The win also improved the team’s postseason record over Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills to 4-0, further deepening the rivalry between the two franchises.
After the game, Brittany — reminding Bills fans the time that a certain section of the fanbase lynched a Kermit the Frog doll (Patrick Mahomes is often compared to Kermit due to his unique voice) — took to Instagram to share a message saying that she “prays” Bills fans we “become better people” (she said ‘we’ but the between-the-lines intention is clear).
“Do we remember this Buffalo? Absolutely disgusting… so as you go home tonight, I pray we become better people,” Mahomes posted on IG.
In the 32-29 win over the Bills, Mahomes completed 18 of 26 passes for 245 yards and a touchdown while also carrying the ball 11 times for 43 yards and two touchdown.
Seeking a historic third-straight Super Bowl title, the Kansas City Chiefs will be taking on Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, and the Philadelphia Eagles in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII. The Chiefs have opened as two-point favorites over the NFC Champion Eagles.
Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles will kick off from the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Sunday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m. EST.
