Meantime, checking in on the Cowboys:

You can go one of two ways with this. One, the Cowboys are HUNGRY for the NFL season to begin and this is the byproduct of motivation and enthusiasm. They’re feisty and ready to show the rest of the league that last year was a blip and they’re ready to get back to doing what they do best, which is 12 wins, five losses, and a comical playoff exit.

The other angle to take is that the Cowboys lack discipline. They’re fighting each other because they have no composure and can’t keep their cool. Frustrations with Jerry Jones and the “Michael Parson” contract situation are boiling over.

So here comes the head coach to make ’em run gassers like it’s two-a-days at Boyertown Junior High East back in 1999. How embarrassing to have to line up and run, to be disciplined like a teenager when you play in the National Football League? Is this the Dallas Cowboys, or the first day of summer practice at Interboro?

What’s telling is that the Cowboys’ behavior influences their fans, who fight each other and punch defenseless people in the face. You don’t see the Eagles fighting each other at training camp. Why? Because it’s a mature group of players within the umbrella of an organization that emanates emotional intelligence.
