New York Jets running back Breece Hall is feeling energized by the incredible run of Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks in the 2026 NBA Playoffs.
After 53 years, the Knicks are once again world champions following their five-game conquest of Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in the 2026 edition of the NBA Finals. All of New York has been on cloud nine, with Hall admitting he wants to experience the same success with the Jets.
“I was just talking to some of my boys. I was like, it gives you positive jealousy. That’s what I say. Like, you know, it’s like damn, like, you know, like I’m very happy. I’m very cool with Mikal [Bridges], Tyler Kolek, a lot of those guys. So I was just like, bro, that’s so lit,” the 25-year-old Hall told reporters on Tuesday (h/t SNY Knicks).
“And I went to eat wings with Kolek the other day in the city. We were watching UFC fights, and I congratulated them, and I’m just like, I can’t wait to have that feeling. So definitely positive jealousy because it’s like, damn, I want my team to be able to do that as well. So it was definitely very cool to see.”
The Jets have not won a Super Bowl since 1969. That was also the last time they reached the Super Bowl. Moreover, the Jets have not been to the NFL playoffs since the 2010 season. Seeing the Knicks reach the top can surely inspire anyone, but Hall and the Jets also know it takes more than that to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
