According to multiple reports, the Texans have just completed a trade with the Cleveland Browns that sends them free agent acquisition OT Cam Robinson. In exchange, the Texans receive a Browns’ 2027 6th round pick.
Signed for $12 million in the offseason by GM Nick Cesario, Robinson was projected to be the starting left tackle for the team heading into the new league year. However, a left leg injury suffered during camp halted those plans and vaulted ‘25 rookie Aireontae Ersery into the starting lineup at left tackle.
The Texans since then have not had a place for Cam, thus it should almost come as no surprise that a trade was the next step. There is slight concern though. When you just watched the Houston Astros and the injury plagued season they just endured, maybe keeping productive bodies around would be a good thing?
Regardless, Caserio an the Texans have moved on. Hopefully it works it for the best for both sides.
